PALMER 1 DEMO PARTY

The October 8 Palmer Demo Party kicked off with a putting competition featuring an extremely difficult putt from the back of the green. Afterward, GL Chambers spoke about the plan for the Palmer Course project, which he said would remain true to the designer's intent and maintain the terrain's natural beauty while focusing on playability. Before departing, Members had the opportunity to take revenge on the first green and unofficially start the demo. Thank you to all who participated and had a blast at this event. Congratulations to the winners of the putting competition.

SADIE HAWKINS TOURNAMENT

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22 | 9:30am

Teams will consist of one man & one woman. The format is a two-person scramble. Men will play the white tees and women will play the green tees.

Tee times or shotgun start on the Trevino Course depending on the number of entries

$30++ GN Member, plus cart (if applicable)

The fee will go towards a pizza party after play and the prize fund for participants.

Spouses may not be on the same two-person team but can play in the same foursome.

Come out for the last scheduled golf event of the season and play 18 holes of 4-person team scramble golf. Before you hit the course, enjoy a Bloody Mary & Screwdriver Bar and appetizers. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Modified shotgun start or tee times TBD based on number of entrants. Members can form their own teams of any combination of men or women. Please note: There will be be only one division and one set of tees.

PALMER COURSE CLOSURE

The Palmer Course closes Monday, October 9 for renovation. During the construction period, we are allowing members to book 30 days in advance on Player and Trevino.

MEMBER PARKING CLOSURE

STARTING MONDAY, OCTOBER 9

Starting Monday, October 9, the GN Member parking lot will be inaccessible to members as this space will be the staging area for supplies and materials during the initial phase of the Palmer Course renovations.

CHICAGO WOMEN'S DISTRICT GOLF ASSOCIATION

Ladies, it’s getting cooler out there! That means sign up is under way!

Chicago Women’s District Golf Association [CWDGA] is a great way to play private courses and get your match play competitive juices going! It is great fun.

We are going to sign up for 3 teams for the 2024 season. To do so, we need 12 regular players and 6 sub players.

With three teams to fill, ideally, you will need to commit to 5 matches in May and June. CWDGA rules state a REGULAR player MUST PLAY 3 of 5 scheduled matches to be eligible for prizes and have an index of 28.0 or less.

You need to be a member of CDGA (www.CDGA.org). Sign-up begins in October.
