FLAG TOURNAMENT
SUNDAY, JULY 2 | 6-11AM
|
This is a 1st tee game where you purchase your flag. Players are assigned a target score, and when they reach that number, they plant their flag. If they complete their round with strokes to spare, they bring the flag into the golf shop. Members are responsible for scheduling their own tee times and will play on the Member Course (Player) between 6-11am.
$10 per member, plus cart (if applicable)

CART PARADE
SUNDAY, JULY 2 | 4-6:15PM
|
Grab anything red, white and blue from your stash and join us in decorating a cart as a family. Carts will be available to start decorating at 4pm and the parade will take place around 6:15pm.
Carts must remain at the Clubhouse for decorating, and approved adhesive tape and zip ties will be provided to use on our fleet of carts. One golf cart per family.
Complimentary to GN Members, must RSVP
The golf cart parade is for GN Members only.

MEMBER-MEMBER TOURNAMENT
SATURDAY, JUNE 24 - SUNDAY, JUNE 25
|
Due to nature of the event and creating the 4 team flights, handicaps as of Thursday, June 22 at 12pm (noon) will be used and no additional teams can be added and the flights will be created.
A new shootout format will be used in the Men’s division only to reduce the extreme length of time that has occurred in past years to complete the horserace. The ladies and mixed division will have no change. It is a format that has been used at other clubs and suggested by a few other GN members. The 1st shootout hole will be 1 shot from each teammate from distances determined by handicap and the two partners combined distance from the hole will be used to determine which teams advance on to the next hole. The 2nd hole going forward will return to the traditional format of partners playing the entire hole and eliminating all but two teams playing the final hole for the championship.
If partners are more than 10.0 handicap index differential, each partner will have 10% deducted from their index to create their handicap. Handicap used for tournament will be as of Thursday morning June 22.
If you are interesting in playing and do not have a partner let Charlie know (cbrown@gnresort.com) and he will try and pair you up.

Week 5 of 10 of the yearlong Weekend golf is complete where 71 GN members took on the Palmer Course. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and led to some great play from several members. The results and credit book winnings are below.

JUNIOR TOURNAMENT SERIES
JUNE 27 | JULY 26 | AUGUST 8
|
Destination Geneva National is excited continue to grow its Junior Programming with the launch a new Junior Tournament Series. Open to players from age 6 to 18, the series aims to involve more juniors in the game, expand their knowledge of golf rules and etiquette, and provide experience in a tournament atmosphere.
The three-tournament series will feature a 9-hole tournament in June, July and August with age-appropriate tees based on the US Kids Golf Family program recommendation. Juniors are encouraged to play in all three events or may choose to play in only one or two.
Cost Per Tournament: $30 GN Members | $40 Public
Includes golf, prizes, lunch, and snacks/water.
